CBIC’s Executive Director, Jessica Dangles, and Certification Program Manager, Gina Cairo, joined nearly 5,000 attendees last month at the 2023 APIC Annual Conference. We celebrated our 40th anniversary, connected with many of you both onsite and virtually, engaged in great discussion around the different certification paths and recertification, and met with the CBIC Board of Directors where we revisited the CBIC strategic plan among other exciting initiatives.

CBIC celebrated its 40th anniversary at the APIC annual conference and it was great getting to connect with many current and future certificants at the booth, the CBIC Reception, and throughout the conference. Congratulations again to the recipients of the daily 40th Anniversary Giveaway and a big thank you to everyone who participated!
Lights, Camera, APIC!
The CBIC staff and board of directors enjoyed exploring Universal Studios with fellow IPs during APIC’s opening reception! It was a great way to kick off the conference and the indoor rides and experiences were a nice escape from the intense Orlando heat.
CBIC Board Connected with Attendees
The CBIC Board provided a panel presentation to APIC 2023 attendees, touching on topics such as the impact of certification, the a-IPC™, CIC®, LTC-CIP certifications – how to prepare and how to know when you’re ready, and how certificants can get involved on the CBIC board.
CBIC Immediate Past President, Sandra Callery, RN, MHSC, CIC, LTC-CIP and Director, Gail R. Fraine, RN, MMHC, BSN, CIC, LTC-CIP also came together to provide a Lunch and Learn presentation on CBIC certification to virtual attendees.
As everyone has now returned home, we have done so with a renewed sense of purpose and will forge ahead in working on our strategic plan and priorities. The engagement was high and CBIC had a terrific time connecting with all of you who attended the conference. We look forward to reconnecting with you in San Antonio next year!
